 Pamela Sawin, a New England native, is an artist/designer and fine art illustrator residing in Portsmouth, NH. Pamela's artistry includes art by commission for home, people and pet portrait works. Her home portrait works have been featured in national publications. Pamela's artworks have gained appreciation as being of collector quality. She has received awards for her crafts and paintings, and her art has been chosen with distinction to benefit non-profit organizations. Pamela
has received national recognition for her artistry, products, and authored works, as well as special honors for her contributions as a free lance artist.
Pamela studied art since early childhood and is a graduate of the Fine Arts Program at the Worcester Art Museum School, Worcester, MA. She was awarded special studies at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA. Pamela is a member of art and business organizations, and a charter member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC. She is a member of (NH) Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, The Colored Pencil Society of America, and the Society of Gilders. Pamela is an educator for the arts and guest speaker. She has taught Marketing Art, and her creative studies include Oil Gilding Techniques, The Art of Metal Leafing, History of the Gilded Arts, and Gilding for the Decorative Arts. She has also taught Designing with Color - Interior Decorating, and the Language of Color for Space and Design. Pamela is a creative arts consultant. She authored and self-published a Collectible Miniature Book (part of the JACK, KING, QUEEN Signature Collection). Pamela is a product designer for home accents and collectibles. She has a new signature "Luxe Leaf" decor art which features luminous painted and gilded surfaces with heirloom finishes.
